    About Roger L. "Chip" Mitchell

Founder of Growing Gray USA, Certified Nursing Assistant, MBA holder, and passionate advocate for families caring for aging parents.

    Background & Experience

Chip Mitchell is the founder of Growing Gray USA. With over a decade of experience as the owner and operator of Homecare franchises in the Northwest Georgia and Chattanooga, Tennessee region, Chip and his staff have cared for hundreds of clients and employed hundreds of caregivers throughout the region.

In preparation for opening his home care location, Chip became a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the State of Georgia — making him part of a rare group of professionals who hold both an MBA and a CNA certification.

    Ministry & Community Work

Prior to opening his home care locations, Chip served his Alma Mater as the Director of Alumni Services and Development at Shorter University. In this role, he built meaningful relationships, particularly with senior alumni.

Chip has also served various churches as both a Minister of Music and a Deacon. Through these roles, he learned firsthand about the challenges that both seniors and their adult children face when navigating caregiving decisions.

    Personal Motivation

In his own family, Chip provided care to many of his grandparents, great uncles and aunts, and extended family members through his homecare business. The unexpected passing of his own parents in recent years caused him to reevaluate his mission. While his passion shifted from providing hands-on care, he channeled his deep knowledge into Growing Gray USA — helping families navigate the challenging journey of supporting aging parents.

    Current Endeavors

Today, Chip's primary occupation is as the Owner of Ensemble Bookkeeping, specializing in the bookkeeping needs of Home Care Providers and Nonprofit Organizations.

    Published Works

Chip's first book, KEYS TO INDEPENDENCE: Navigating the Difficult Transition of Stopping An Elderly Parent From Driving, provides practical guidance for one of the most difficult conversations families face.

"It is our hope that this site serves you well and gives you some guidance and comfort as you are seeking the best solutions for your family."
